Specifications

Diameter: 10–60 mm. Constructions: 6×29Fi, 6×31WS, 6×36WS. Core: fiber (FC) or independent steel (IWRC). Wire grade: 1770, 1960 or 2160 N/mm². Finish: bright or galvanized. Lay: right or left hand, regular or Lang's. Manufactured to EN 12385, ASTM A1023, YB/T 5359 and GB/T 8918. HS code 7312.10.

Packing & Delivery

Supplied on wooden or steel reels to 3,000 m, or cut to your required lengths. MOQ 1,000 m, negotiable. Packed for sea freight and shipped CIF. Lead time confirmed at quotation. Payment 30% deposit with balance before shipment.

Certification & Documentation

Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015, with ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 management systems certified by CICC. CCS Works Approval held for marine rope, 10–80 mm. Every shipment ships with a mill certificate and test report. Additional documentation available on request.

FC = fiber core · IWRC = independent steel wire rope core · MBF = minimum breaking force at the stated wire tensile grade (N/mm²). Weights are nominal. Diameters outside 10–60 mm and non-standard grades are manufactured to order — request a quote.

About this construction

Is 6×36 stronger than 6×19?

No. At the same diameter and grade both have the same minimum breaking force. The difference is in service: 6×36 has more, finer wires, giving better flexibility and fatigue life; 6×19 has fewer, thicker wires, giving better abrasion and crush resistance.

So when should I choose 6×36?

When your rope fails from bending fatigue rather than surface wear — small sheaves, frequent reeving, high cycle counts. If ropes are wearing flat on the outside instead, 6×19 will last longer.

Which constructions are included?

6×29Fi, 6×31WS and 6×36WS. They share diameter and breaking force but differ in wire arrangement; tell us your duty cycle and we'll recommend one.

Fiber core or steel core?

Steel core (IWRC) gives higher breaking force and much better crush resistance on multi-layer drums. Fiber core is lighter and more flexible, suited to lighter duty.

Applications

Flexibility where rope bends most

More wires per strand means each wire is finer and bends more easily, so 6×36 tolerates smaller sheaves and higher cycle counts before fatigue sets in. It's the general-hoisting choice where the rope works hard around drums and blocks rather than dragging against surfaces.

Manufacturing

Drawn, stranded and closed in-house

Every rope starts as Baosteel or Shagang wire rod and runs through our own servo-driven drawing and planetary stranding machines. German Fosser lubricant is applied at closing, and each rope is tensile tested against its declared breaking force before it ships.

Cut, reeled and shipped to spec

Reels run to 3,000 m, with custom lengths cut to order. Every shipment carries a mill certificate and test report, packed for sea freight and shipped CIF from the Yangtze Delta.
