Marine Approval for Steel Wire Rope

China Classification Society (CCS Jiangsu Branch) issued Tongjiang a Certificate of Works Approval (No. JS24PWA00203_01) on December 18, 2024, valid through December 17, 2029. The approval covers steel wire rope intended for ships, in two categories: single-layer rope from 10mm to 80mm and rotation-resistant rope from 10mm to 52mm, at steel wire grades from 1570 to 2160 N/mm² and in uncoated or zinc-coated (Grade 1, 2, or 3) finishes, with fiber or steel rope cores. Under the terms of the approval, Tongjiang's quality management system must stay unchanged from the approved state, and CCS conducts an unannounced audit each year at the anniversary of the certificate.

CE Verification Under the EU Machinery Directive

Ente Certificazione Macchine, an Italian certification body, reviewed Tongjiang's technical documentation for steel wire rope from 6.0mm to 80mm, including compacted-strand construction, and confirmed it meets the requirements of EN ISO 12100:2010 and EN 12385-1:2002+A1:2008 under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (Certificate No. 3N260415.JTMUO98, issued April 15, 2026, valid through April 14, 2031).
