Frequently Asked Questions

Products & Specifications

What diameters do you manufacture?

Our standard range is 6 mm to 80 mm across the general product line. Mining and oil-drilling constructions are available in larger diameters on request. Each product page lists the diameter range available for that specific construction.

What wire grades are available?

1570, 1770, 1960 and 2160 N/mm², depending on construction. Higher grades give a higher minimum breaking force at the same diameter, which lets you keep an existing sheave and drum arrangement while increasing capacity.

What is the difference between fiber core and steel core?

A fiber core (FC) gives more flexibility and is lighter. An independent steel core (IWRC) gives roughly 7–10% higher breaking force and much better resistance to crushing on multi-layer drums. Steel core is standard for most crane and drilling duty; fiber core suits lighter, more flexible applications.

What does the plastic-injected core (EPIWRC) do?

A polymer layer is injected between the outer strands and the steel core. It distributes internal pressure, reduces strand-on-strand wear, and holds lubricant in the core — which typically extends service life in high-cycle applications like port cranes and drilling rigs.

What is compacted-strand rope and when should I use it?

The strands are compacted after stranding, which flattens the outer wire surface and increases the metallic cross-section. The result is a higher breaking force at the same diameter and a larger contact area against the drum and sheave, reducing wear on both. It is the usual choice where load or service life matters more than initial cost.

Do you supply galvanized rope?

Yes — bright (ungalvanized) or zinc-coated finish across the range. Galvanized is recommended for marine, offshore and other corrosive environments.

Can you supply a construction that isn't listed on the site?

Yes. Send a drawing, a sample, or the specification of the rope you're currently running and we will quote against it. See OEM & Custom Orders.

Ordering & Lead Times

What is your minimum order quantity?

1,000 metres, and it is negotiable — tell us what you need and we'll tell you whether we can do it.

How do I request a quote?

Send construction, diameter, grade, core type, finish and total length, plus your destination port. If you have a drawing or an existing rope specification, attach it. The more precise the input, the faster and firmer the quote.

What are your lead times?

Lead time depends on construction, quantity and current production load, and is confirmed at quotation. We hold around 4,000 tons of finished rope in stock, so common specifications often ship without waiting for a production slot.

What are your payment terms?

Standard terms are 30% deposit with the balance before shipment. Terms vary by destination country and order value, and are confirmed at quotation.

What reel lengths do you supply?

Reels run to each machine's maximum capacity — commonly 2,000 m or 3,000 m per reel. Custom cut lengths are available; specify your required lengths with your enquiry.

Can I order a sample before committing to a full order?

Sample lengths can be arranged for evaluation. Discuss it with the sales team when you request your quote.

Quality & Certification

What certifications do you hold?

Four management-system certifications issued by CICC: ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental), ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety) and ISO 50001:2018 (energy). We also hold a Certificate of Works Approval from China Classification Society for steel wire rope used aboard ships. Certificate numbers and validity dates are listed on the Certifications page.

Which standards do you manufacture to?

EN 12385, ASTM A1023, YB/T 5359 and GB/T 8918. Oil and gas constructions are manufactured to API RP 9A

What does your CCS approval cover?

Single-layer rope from 10 mm to 80 mm and rotation-resistant rope from 10 mm to 52 mm, at wire grades from 1570 to 2160 N/mm², in bright or zinc-coated finish with fiber or steel core. If you have a classification-society requirement, confirm your exact construction and grade against the certificate scope before ordering.

Do you hold CE certification?

We hold a technical-file verification from Ente Certificazione Macchine (Italy) confirming compliance with EN ISO 12100 and EN 12385-1 under the Machinery Directive. This is a documentation assessment rather than product testing, and it does not replace our own EC Declaration of Conformity. Full detail is on the Certifications page.

Is every rope tested before shipment?

Yes. Each rope is tensile tested against its declared minimum breaking force before it leaves the factory, and rotation-resistant constructions additionally go through torque and rotation verification.

What documentation ships with an order?

A mill certificate and test report accompany every shipment. Additional documentation — material certificates, third-party inspection, classification society paperwork — can be arranged on request.

Shipping & Export

Which countries do you export to?

We ship worldwide, with current focus on Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North America and Australia.

What Incoterms do you work on?

CIF is standard, quoted to your nearest port. Other terms can be discussed at quotation.

How is the rope packed for sea freight?

On wooden or steel reels, wrapped and protected for ocean transit. Reels are marked with construction, diameter, grade, length and order reference.

Where do you ship from?

Our factory is in the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Zone in Jiangsu, in the Yangtze River Delta, with direct access to the region's export ports and around an hour from Shanghai.

Do you offer distributor or stocking terms?

Yes. We work with distributors and OEM partners on stocking agreements and long-term supply programmes. See the Distributor Program page.

Who do I contact about an existing order?

Reply to your order confirmation or contact the sales team directly. Our engineers also support installation, inspection and troubleshooting for the service life of the rope.
