4V×39 Non-Rotating Wire Rope
4V×39 Non-Rotating Wire Rope is a non-rotating rope construction, available in 4V×39S, 4V×48S variants.
For applications with a relatively low lifting height that still require rotation resistance, such as tower cranes and mobile cranes.

Specifications
Diameter: 10–40 mm. Constructions: 4V×39S, 4V×48S. Wire grade: 1770, 1960 or 2160 N/mm². Finish: bright or galvanized. Lay: right or left hand, regular or Lang's. Manufactured to EN 12385, ASTM A1023, YB/T 5359 and GB/T 8918. HS code 7312.10.

Supplied on wooden or steel reels to 3,000 m, or cut to your required lengths. MOQ 1,000 m, negotiable. Packed for sea freight and shipped CIF. Lead time confirmed at quotation. Payment 30% deposit with balance before shipment.

Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015, with ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 management systems certified by CICC. CCS Works Approval held for marine rope, 10–80 mm. Every shipment ships with a mill certificate and test report. Additional documentation available on request.

MBF = minimum breaking force at the stated wire tensile grade (N/mm²). Weights are nominal and vary slightly between the 4V×39S and 4V×48S constructions. Diameters outside 10–40 mm and non-standard grades are manufactured to order — request a quote.
About this construction
How does four strands give rotation resistance?
The triangular strands are laid over an inner rope running the opposite way, so the two layers cancel each other's torque. The triangular profile also puts a large flat surface against the drum.
Why is it limited to lower lifting heights?
Four strands cancel less torque than eighteen or thirty-five. At greater lifting heights there's more free rope to twist, so a multi-strand construction is the safer specification.
What does it do better than 18×7 or 19×K7?
Survives abuse. The triangular profile puts more steel on the outside, so on sites where ropes get dragged and knocked it outlasts a conventional round-strand non-rotating rope.
Where is it typically used?
Tower cranes and mobile cranes at moderate lifting heights, particularly where the rope takes physical damage on site. Tell us your lifting height and duty and we'll confirm it suits.
Selecting 4-strand rope
Triangular strands, flatter contact
The 4V profile uses triangular strands rather than round ones, so more steel sits on the outer surface and pressure spreads across a wider contact area. That's what makes it hold up under heavy multi-layer winding, and why it survives knocks and dragging better than a conventional non-rotating rope.
Manufacturing
Drawn, stranded and closed in-house
Every rope starts as Baosteel or Shagang wire rod and runs through our own servo-driven drawing and planetary stranding machines. German Fosser lubricant is applied at closing, and each rope is tensile tested against its declared breaking force before it ships.
Ordering
Cut, reeled and shipped to spec
Reels run to 3,000 m, with custom lengths cut to order. Every shipment carries a mill certificate and test report, packed for sea freight and shipped CIF from the Yangtze Delta.
