8×K26 Compacted Wire Rope – Plastic-Injected Core is a 8-strand wire rope construction, available in 8×K19S, 8×K26WS, 8×K31WS, 8×K36WS variants.

Specifications
Diameter: 6–40 mm. Constructions: 8×K19S, 8×K26WS, 8×K31WS, 8×K36WS. Core: plastic-injected steel core (EPIWRC). Wire grade: 1770, 1960 or 2160 N/mm². Finish: bright or galvanized. Lay: right or left hand, regular or Lang's. Manufactured to EN 12385, ASTM A1023, YB/T 5359 and GB/T 8918. HS code 7312.10.

Supplied on wooden or steel reels to 3,000 m, or cut to your required lengths. MOQ 1,000 m, negotiable. Packed for sea freight and shipped CIF. Lead time confirmed at quotation. Payment 30% deposit with balance before shipment.

Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015, with ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 management systems certified by CICC. CCS Works Approval held for marine rope, 10–80 mm. Every shipment ships with a mill certificate and test report. Additional documentation available on request.

MBF = minimum breaking force at the stated wire tensile grade (N/mm²). Weights are nominal. The injected core does not change breaking force — its benefit is service life. Diameters outside 6–40 mm and non-standard grades are manufactured to order — request a quote.
About this construction
What am I getting over the standard European high-strength version?
Service life. Breaking force is identical at every diameter — 921 kN at 32 mm in 1960 grade either way. The polymer layer between the strands and the core is what changes, and it shows up as cycles, not kilonewtons.
Why combine European values with an injected core?
Because the buyers who specify EN 12385 figures are usually running the rope hard. If the drawing demands maximum load at a fixed diameter, the rope is working near its limit, and that is exactly when internal wear decides how long it lasts.
When would the standard steel core be enough?
Single-layer drums, lower cycle counts, and applications where you retire rope on external wear rather than internal. If your ropes come off with worn crowns and a sound interior, you are not paying for anything you need here.
Why does this range stop at 40 mm?
That is the manufactured range for the European high-strength construction. Above 40 mm, standard 8×K26 with a plastic-injected core runs to 80 mm — tell us your diameter and we will confirm.
Does the injected core change inspection?
A little. The polymer holds the rope's structure together, so internal deterioration is less visible from outside. Keep your normal discard criteria and watch diameter reduction over the rope's life more closely than you would on a plain steel core.
Selecting European high-strength rope
European values, protected inside
Built to the breaking-force figures European crane makers specify, with polymer injected between the outer strands and the core. You get the load capacity the drawing calls for and the internal protection that keeps it there through a few thousand more cycles.
Manufacturing
Drawn, stranded and closed in-house
Every rope starts as Baosteel or Shagang wire rod and runs through our own servo-driven drawing and planetary stranding machines. German Fosser lubricant is applied at closing, and each rope is tensile tested against its declared breaking force before it ships.
Ordering
Cut, reeled and shipped to spec
Reels run to 3,000 m, with custom lengths cut to order. Every shipment carries a mill certificate and test report, packed for sea freight and shipped CIF from the Yangtze Delta.
